Conference Particulars

• All SIA members welcome
• Suggestions

ü      At least one member from each region attend

ü      Groups pool resources to send an elected representative

Conference Committees may be formed, no decisions affecting individual groups will take place until group survey is circulated for vote. Our Traditions protect the autonomy of each group.

Suggested Conference Goals

• encourage growth and healing through Service
• Confirm the structure of SIA as founded on the 12 Traditions
• Clarify roles and responsibilities of WSO, groups and individual members
• Set date for 2009 Conference

Suggested Agenda

Friday: 8:00 PM SIA meeting

Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Under Roberts Rules of Order, the Group Conscience will put forth and vote on the day’s agenda:

o        SIA Service Structure (Concepts of Service, GSR Kit, Service Manual)

o        Formation of Committees: Literature, Fundraising, Outreach, Institutions, Archives

o        History of SIA: a visit to the World Service Office and “how you can help.”

o        Saturday night open mic/comedy hour

Sunday: 10:00 AM SIA Meeting

   (It’s a recovery sandwich!)
